Keepin' it real, because I lurv you.
Someone's a little anxious. m.
yeah, well, welcome to Canada where the weather is shit approximately 8 months of the year!
Remember...Maple Leaf Village?Looked up a link:http://cec.chebucto.org/ClosPark/Maple.htmlEnjoy!
Hell yes, Matt. Wasn't your first job handing out change for the games at Maple Leaf village?
i saw you there, grinning at that pile of weiners. you naughty lil minx!summer has already arrived here, but before long it'll be too hot to even enjoy it as the sweat gets totally out of hand by mid june til early october.
yay! You found me sherilin! The kids in the blow up pool are my little maniacs, as well. Yeah, I thought about you, and how you kinda live summer all the time, so it's probably no big thrill to you when it gets stupid hot.
Matt, thanks for that link! That was so fun, nostalgic and sad all at the same time.
My favorite thought about summer:"I walk without flinching through the burning cathedral of the summer. My bank of wild grass is majestic and full of music. It is a fire that solitude presses against my lips."Violette Leduc
Thanks! That was inspiring and much needed! Still raining here!
Oh Laoch, thank you for sharing that. Did you know that I'm a huge sucker for poetry?
we seem to be having a 2 day break from rain, Christina, so yeah--I hear you.
You are welcome. :) Ya, that was my first job. After a week at the arcade, I was moved to 'Bottleup', where you had a ring on a fishing pole which you had to use to stand a beer bottle up on a slippery, sloped, wooden octagon. Everyone thought it was fixed, except the people who knew the technique. I became quite good at it myself at the time. Was paid $4/hour - 75 cents above minimum wage! Yikes! I thought at the time I had scored big time! The game was placed right in front of 'Haunted Mansion', which Dave D. worked at? Remember him, Pat's older brother? Anyhoo - my favourite memory was actually before I worked there when a bunch of us from our class went and got those 'unlimited bracelets' and had unlimited fun. Where you with that group that day, Karen?So...happy to share. Was a bit sad as well.
I was indeed with that group, Matt! Fabulous memories. I remember that as one of the hilights of...well, not to be dramatic, but, my life! Bottleup! That's hilarious. Yes, i certainly do remember Dave D. He's on my facebook friend list, and I worked with him at the casino.
I lurv comments. Thank you for the comments. They are scrumptious.
