My Girlie is Obsessed

...with BOOBIES.

Ella loves boobies.  She's four years old and she's breast obsessed.  She has to talk about boobies all the time, express her love for breasts, express her love for her own "breasts".

Recently, as she was heading from the bath to get dressed:

Ella: "I love you."

Me:  "I love you too."

Ella:  "I was TALKING to my NIBBLES."

She can't wait to grow up and have BOOBIES just like me.  She tells me this often, or she goes into crazy mode and pats my hoots like bongos while shouting "BOOBIES!  BOOBIES!  BOOBIES!" and laughing her head off, even as I'm telling her to knock it off.

So, the little nut was very busy crafting a Halloween picture with one of those foam craft kits.  She happily worked away with her glue stick, happily sticking random pieces here and there.  Then she couldn't wait to show me:

Look Mom, this is my Halloween picture!  There are owls and a pumpkin, and some black cats, and the witch is showing her boobies!  HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

sigh.

So, are your kids obsessed with THEIR BITS too?

  1. lmao! i love the witch's face as she's looking at her fabulous hooters. if mine were green & fuzzy, i might look at them like that too.
brooke went through a breast obsessed phase for a brief spell when she was about three. she liked to call them beeboos & poke her fingers into them. like when she was sitting in the seat in a shopping cart. you couldn't get away from her & her pokey little tittie fingers.

  4. The witch's face is eerily similar to the smiles photoshopped into your Friday blog...

  5. My daughter is twelve and has never said one word to me about breasts, hers or anyone else's. When it was time to buy her a bra, she matter of factly told me that she thought she might need one soon and I, her hip and savvy mother....blushed.

Now, if she had just MENTIONED them once, I think I would have done better.

I still cannot believe that I BLUSHED.

  6. 2 girls, the only comment from one of them was a matter of fact comment that grandma could not feed my baby cuz she had no milk in her boobies.....thats it...sorry.

  7. Best witch boobs ever. My four-next-month year old niece is obsessed with boobs too. She even booked in to watch me get dressed after my shower and made me face the right way to get the best view! Good for these girls. I hope they love their own boobs when they get older and don't think they have to have some weird, way too high, enormous fake kachoongas to be happy!

  11. Sherilin, I never saw it that way: that the witch is looking at her own hooters! It's even funnier now. Beeboos--that kills me, as did "pokey little tittie fingers."

They just love to do that too--also in pillowy mommy tummies.

  12. Empress, it's a drink AND a FABULOUS idea. Must google how to make those... no wait...that's BUTTERY NIPPLES. Now I have to come up with a fuzzy nipple.

  15. Maria, that's delightful that you blushed. It means it's not totally all business. Hrm...maybe your daughter is shy about it? I was MORTIFIED to tell my Mom when I needed a bra.

  17. You GO, SARAH! I too feel saddened by the sight of so many giant, fake KACHOONGAS at time (and I lurved this new term for hoots, by the way).

  23. Hilarious, Steph! Yeah--what did happen to your comment? I'll look for it in the spam folder just to see that Blogger didn't try to rip you off.

That's very cute about the "nurses" and kudos for nursing for 14 months!!! Ella would NOT sit still at 5 months. Would NOT, and I didn't really figure out how to nurse her standing up.

  24. i can't imagine not discussing boobs with my daughter like some of your readers/commenters here. boobs are a daily topic of discussion in our house. and it seems funny to me to think of brooke asking me for a bra. i'm the one who tells her when she needs to wear one with certain tops. maybe i'm the one who's breasticle obsessed.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I agree Sherilin--they come up in conversation ALL THE TIME. I think it's all part and parcel of being a woman...or a breasticle obsessed woman, as you said :)
