Recently, my four year old daughter Ella, in ALL SERIOUSNESS, told me about a dream she had:
Ella: Mom, I had a dream that I was a piece of ham.
And then you CHOPPED me and ATE ME, and then you POOPED ME OUT!
(in a very sad voice) And then you had no more DAUGHTER HAM.
~fin~
Here, look: I arted it for you!

isn't she cute as a widdle HAM STEAK!?! |
|
points to anyone who guesses the cartoon poop I pasted the
kid's head atop of.
Here's a piece of advice: don't google "poop" in google images.
Well, go ahead if you want to have that feeling like you could
actually gag. Oh, don't be sad that I made my daughter into a steamy,
stinky turd daughter. No one will be more delighted than SHE when
she sees it. Kids love poops. They love poops and farts and hooter
jokes so much that it just isn't that funny any longer. And yet, here
I am with the most ironic kind of blog post. Go figure.
I think I need more fresh air.

She's a knock off the old block.....the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. haha
ReplyDeleteoh she is like me in some ways, that's for sure
DeleteHave you read/seen the book "Everyone Poops"?
ReplyDeleteBen still loves this book...it was bougth for him when we were potty training him (by a family member..not us!) He laughs at all the poop drawings. Oi.
Love the art :)
Steph, that books is ringing a bell somehow, though I haven't seen it. I wonder if it's at the library! I'll have to look for it. The kids will be delighted.
DeleteShe makes the cutest little turd ever! I'm glad you "arted" her up!
ReplyDeletem.
Oh! And I haven't even shown her yet!
Deleteshe looks so delicious as ham that i don't blame you for chowing down on her salty lil self! and i don't even eat meat! nom nom nom
ReplyDeleteher salty lil self! LOL! She is a little ham anyway, so it's all very appropriate.
DeleteHow many cartoon poops are there? So I'm guessing Mr. Hankey, the Christmas poo, from South Park. And my 2 sons, 10 and 9 years old respectively, still love poop jokes in every possible form. Happy happy, joy joy.
ReplyDeleteDid Jung have an analysis for the ham/poop dream?
exes and ohs for you, Two Sheds. I'm so delighted you knew it was Mr. Hankey. HIDEY HO!
DeleteYeah, do you find these jokes tedious and tiring?
Also, if only YOU would provide that analysis, but alas, you're busy reinstating blogs that I thought were long gone.
I had a dream when I was pregnant that my baby was a ham and I cooked and ate it. It was so freaky I couldn't eat ham for a couple years. There was no poop though. But isn't that weird? What is the kid ham connection?
ReplyDeleteThat is SUPER WEIRD--and hilarious, but I can see how that dream would be gross and horrifying. What IS the kid ham connection??? Well..we'd had ham recently and Ella liked it I guess. Maybe not so much anymore.
ReplyDeletemaybe the kid/ham connection is that we often call kids little hams. somehow that seeps into the subconcious.
Deletegood answer Sherilin! I was still laughing about Christy's dream this morning.
DeleteThat kid is a comic! Seriously, she is too funny! you are gonna have your hands full. The boys are gonna love her!
ReplyDeleteyeah! They already do! Thanks, Leanne :)
DeleteRemember that scene in Caddyshack?
ReplyDeleteYES! When I first saw that I was CRYING I was laughing so hard and could hardly breathe. And then when Bill Murray bit the chocolate bar? My brother and I were FINISHED.
DeleteOHMYGOD, you drew your kid as poop! That's the most awesome thing, ever! I think we were separated at birth, you and I, with our sick and twisted humor.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, YES, I have issues! And if you have issues then we are meant to be together. And we found this out on Valentine's Day--SNIFF!
DeleteI used to throw up a little every time Mr. Hanky would skid around the show.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter makes a much cuter poo.
Wow. Does something like that even count as a compliment?
It does count as a compliment--the best compliment of all!
DeleteMr Hanky the Christmas poo. All kids love to laugh and giggle and talk about poop, farts, burps and any bodily noise.
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, Alaina--they love it SO much, I have a headache.
DeleteHiiidey Ho!
ReplyDeleteNo more daughter ham...Karen, you, well actually I guess it's your daughter I should thank, just made me snort coffee from laughing so hard.
Yeah! DAUGHTER HAM was the best part. Not HAM DAUGHTER, but daughter ham. Killed me too.
DeleteMy 6 year old thinks your art is hilarious. I offered to turn her into a poo but she has declined. Honestly, my kids are no fun sometimes, can I borrow yours? xxxxxx
ReplyDeletewhat? she doesn't want to be a turd? no fun!
DeleteRight, Sherilin? How could she NOT want to???
DeleteCurtise, what you have to do in this case is MAKE ART FIRST, ask questions LATER. That way, once you've presented her newly refurbished image for her enjoyment, how could she possibly resist???
OMG, I'm trying not to laugh but whatever. I'm laughing. And just think of all the people looking for poop images are now going to come to you. Consider it a public service or something.....
ReplyDeleteyeah, I'm going to be in the google poop images section! Lizbeth, you've made it even better!
Deletep.s. Ella and her brother had a GOOD laugh at the Ellapoo unveiling. Actually though...Jack laughed a LOT harder...
