  1. those pictures are all so fantastical, it's hard to believe such things and places exist, isn't it?

  2. I know! Mexico is soooo beautiful--and the Dominican too. Too bad Mexico is a little dangerous for the tourist (and citizen) these days :(

    3. the only place outside the u.s that i've been is hungary. i'm glad i'm getting to go somewhere more tropical this time. though, august might not be the best time of year for sailing through the sweaty, summer seas.

    4. oh yeah, you'll be RIDICULOUSLY hot, but that's what they made pina coladas for. Yeah--if you're having tropical drinks and you're always by the ocean, you'll be fine!
Besides--when we went to see the ruins of Tulum in Mexico, I can't imagine it could POSSIBLY be hotter than that. That was STUPID hot.

    5. how hot was it? or what month was it?

    6. oh and i probably won't get to be doing much drinking. i'll be with the fam & drinking is generally considered to be a no-no in our family. plus, i wonder if i'll get seasick if i'm drinking? i have no idea what i'm talking about.

    7. you should have come with my family when we went to the Dominican! There was an entire day spent drinking IN the pool. Oh, I can't think about it too long or I'll weep for sun and fun.

I can't remember Sherilin, but it was STUPID, STUPID hot. The Man and I went in April when I was....27? It was at least 87 degrees the day we saw the ruins. Whitebread porkchop karen was DYING. Bah--you have to have some coconut drinks! Those stupid tropical drinks they serve up like water are just so impossible to resist.

    8. but like I said--when you're by the ocean, it never seems quite as bad. It's just when you're trying to SEE things, and be a tourist, and you know--BREATHE. Seriously--I don't know how they build anything in these countries. I fully understand the Siesta now.

I think we all deserve a holiday...
Hmm... might just have to drink a pint of pina colada and pretend! xxxx
