those pictures are all so fantastical, it's hard to believe such things and places exist, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI know! Mexico is soooo beautiful--and the Dominican too. Too bad Mexico is a little dangerous for the tourist (and citizen) these days :(
ReplyDeletewe're going on a cruise to mexico in the summer. i hope it's not too dangerous for the brief time we'll be in cozumel. it looks fantastic in the pictures i've seen!
DeleteI love Mexico SO, SO, SO much. I'm so happy for you!
Deletethe only place outside the u.s that i've been is hungary. i'm glad i'm getting to go somewhere more tropical this time. though, august might not be the best time of year for sailing through the sweaty, summer seas.
Deleteoh yeah, you'll be RIDICULOUSLY hot, but that's what they made pina coladas for. Yeah--if you're having tropical drinks and you're always by the ocean, you'll be fine!
DeleteBesides--when we went to see the ruins of Tulum in Mexico, I can't imagine it could POSSIBLY be hotter than that. That was STUPID hot.
how hot was it? or what month was it?
Deleteoh and i probably won't get to be doing much drinking. i'll be with the fam & drinking is generally considered to be a no-no in our family. plus, i wonder if i'll get seasick if i'm drinking? i have no idea what i'm talking about.
Deleteyou should have come with my family when we went to the Dominican! There was an entire day spent drinking IN the pool. Oh, I can't think about it too long or I'll weep for sun and fun.
DeleteI can't remember Sherilin, but it was STUPID, STUPID hot. The Man and I went in April when I was....27? It was at least 87 degrees the day we saw the ruins. Whitebread porkchop karen was DYING. Bah--you have to have some coconut drinks! Those stupid tropical drinks they serve up like water are just so impossible to resist.
but like I said--when you're by the ocean, it never seems quite as bad. It's just when you're trying to SEE things, and be a tourist, and you know--BREATHE. Seriously--I don't know how they build anything in these countries. I fully understand the Siesta now.
DeleteOh yes please. Can we all go there NOW?
ReplyDeleteI think we all deserve a holiday...
Hmm... might just have to drink a pint of pina colada and pretend! xxxx
that's what I intend to do, Curtise!
DeleteI agree, except for blue drinks. Blue drinks and I don't get along.
ReplyDeleteis it because they're so BEGUILING??? Or is it because they LOOK like juice but are chock full of booze? Yes, probably both.
DeleteHawaii...thats where my parents are right now...I am green with envy!
ReplyDeleteooo...me too Steph! As I walked around with TWO sweaters on today...
Delete:(
exactly what I needed, I just feel like crying a bit now
ReplyDeletelet's cry together then, Miss Simmonds. And then we'll make pina coladas! Hooray! Thanks for stopping in :)
DeleteThanks, but could you add some big white puffy pillows and some padded walls along with the drinks?
ReplyDeleteMelissa: DONE, AND DONE.
ReplyDeletetake me with you on your daydreams...awesome
ReplyDeleteabsofreakinglutely, Lance.
DeleteHey, Karen. Been away awhile, now I'm back (NOT Hawaii, by the way, sadly). Caught up on your posts and ready for the exam!
ReplyDeleteokay then Matt! Question ONE: which bodily organs was I freaked out about last weekend???
DeleteHa ha, just kidding. I miss you and Paula when you're not HERE, but I figured you've been BUSY!!!
Ah. Perfecto. That hammock is calling my name.
ReplyDeleteoh my god. Would that not be FANTASTIC?!?
DeleteIS IT WEIRD THAT I KEEP TUNING IN TO MY OWN BLOG TO PLAY THE HAWAIIAN MUSIC AND CHILL THE F*CK OUT???
ReplyDeleteDamn you, DAMN YOU for reminding me how badly I need a vacation!!! Guess I will have to settle for drinking instead.
ReplyDeleteyeah--you and me both, my dear. You and me BOTH. I settled for that last night too, but NEXT time it's going to be homemade pina coladas.
